I’m Back!

Well, sort of.

My 3-month journey to Australia ended 2 weeks ago, then I was in Singapore and now Kuala Lumpur. I should’ve started this blog earlier while I was in Australia. Obviously I would’ve had much more interesting things to write about then but I guess this is what you’ll get for now.

The multiple trips to Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Hobart was a great experience and chance for exposure in a foreign country. Heck, a whole continent on its own! The thing I love about travelling alone is that it allows me the chance to meet new people, handle difficult situations (ie. missing a flight in the wrong city, surviving off credit cards for the last 3 weeks–no kidding), learn how to adapt to constantly new surroundings, while building a reputation in what I do no matter how small.

Budgeting was tough, especially when I enjoy eating and drinking so much. I loved the fact that I was able to have a pint of beer at 2 pm with no judgemental looks or walk down to the nearest neighbourhood pub, not dodgy at all! It helped a lot that many friends opened the doors to their homes and housed me for the time I that was there (Stephanie & Arum, Ryan, Fiorn & Francesa, Frankie, Jack). Much love.

I was also lucky enough to work with many fantastic people from France, Denmark, England, Belgium, Czech Republic, North America, Korea, Indonesia and of course Australia and Singapore. It’s amazing how so many people from all over meet in a country other than their own to create their visions and interpretation of art.

I’ll post some of the works done there as well as behind-the-scenes photos quite soon. I know reading too much text can get a little hefty not to mention boring.

I must say I’m starting to miss staying at home for a little while, meet up with old friends and relax. Great thing is a lot of people are coming back to town for the holidays so at least I won’t be too bored. Come and say hi to me sometime!

I am glad that you had a great time and that you are coming home soon. Traveling and meeting new people is a great way to expand our horizons. I am sure you will have more of that in the days to come.

A pity I wasn’t in Brisbane anymore else I could have joined you and Frankie for your photo shoots. Nonetheless, welcome back. I’m now back in KK. Catch up with ya when there’s a chance.
