Next stop, Sydney.
I love Sydney. I never expected to like it so much after people constantly telling me, “Oh, you’ll love Melbourne!”. I think of Sydney as the closest comparison to New York (the big city), and Melbourne as a cross between San Francisco and Boston (trams, art, students, Asian settlement, building structures, all but the colourful gay scene–that would be in Sydney in case you were wondering).
Anyway, Chris Lefevre and Annick Ah Lan was my first shoot there. Chris is a Parisian model and Annick, a Sydney girl, is a very exotic mix of Chinese, English, French, Indian, Portuguese and African. Both are martial arts experts. No kidding. Working with me was Eve Dang, one of the best makeup artists I have been able to work with. Love her! Also, special thanks to Ryan Kong for assisting me on the shoot and also hosting me in Sydney. I was almost a permanent fixture in his apartment. Almost.
The area was really dirty foul-smelling but few weeks later it was all clean and fresh again. Kudos!

It was a cold winter night in the city and that was quite a challenge as I have not worked in such conditions before. Having said that, I really do miss the cold now. Why do I keep talking about the weather?? Sheesh.
